i enjoyed a visit to osijek, croatia where i was invited to give a keynote presentation at the ceeams conference – that is the central and eastern european association for mission studies. it was great to connect with people from all across the region. i don’t think i had been to croatia since 2007. i didn’t check my camera battery and it ran out after one walk to the conference centre along the river so not many photos to show for my trip!

the theme of the conference was called into creativity and i think the creativity angle was why i was invited. i gave a presentation on imagining mission and fringe dwelling which was fusion of imagining mission with john taylor, pioneer practice and fringe dwelling. i managed to squeeze in a group reflection on one of the reflections in fringe dweller – a non-encounter. i am enjoying trying these out in different settings.
