soil and boats

SoilBoatswell i didn’t get to meet moltmann yesterday after all – he was there the day before so our paths didn’t cross. but the session we led at the winchester diocesan conference went well. as well as ligting an indian lamp which turned into quite a fire hazard and had to be blown out we used the parable of the sower to pray for the church with candles and seeds and soil… and then we launched hopes written as prayers made into boats origami style (an idea taken from worshipping the creator – more about that later).

Huge thanks to you Johnny from us all at the conference. What a superb answer to the briefest of briefs: prayers for the church and the world. Great ideas and beautiful music really captured our imagination and inspired our prayers. I’ll not forget the five small flames that turned into an inferno of prayer for the world! I could already plant seeds but now I can make boats too. That’s progress 😉
