the fringe dweller book launch was buzzing! thank you so much to everyone who came. jeremy woodham kindly took photos which are in an album here. we spent the day getting ready hanging 12 illustrations from the book from the balcony. things kicked off with drinks and matt playing tunes. this was followed by joy in conversation with david and i about the book and how we went about it. joel chipped in on his incredible design and cover and jon joined on zoom to talk about the wonderful illustrations which just lift the book. we had invited 6 artists to respond to either the book as a whole of one chapter. that was so good – tina hodgett read a liturgy that features in the book, chris read performed a new song, iva had done four paintings, martin wroe read a poem, iain cotton showed two sculpture tiles, and harry baker landed it with an amazing reverse poem. then it was signing – so many people bought books! we even ended up with a spontaneous after party at ours…
it is well and truly launched 🙂
people keep asking me where you can get it from – the answer is here
