last night was a farewell party from greenbelt for beki who has been festival director for 9 years. when she took it on there were big financial challenges and numbers were much lower than they are now. she has done an amazing job to grow the festival, put it on a secure footing, and create (with the staff and huge numbers of volunteers) several fantastic festivals. everyone was saying how good this year's festival was. so way to go beki! all the best for the future… while greenbelt interview and appoint a new festival director jenny is acting as interim director for 2.5 days a week.
