richard sudworth has a new book out distinctly welcoming:christian presence in a multi-faith society that you can buy from here. i’ve started reading it. it looks really good. i’ll review it shortly. but he has also started a blog distinctly welcoming.
i found it of interest inmmediately as i had a comment about islam yesterday on this post that annoyed me intensely because a) it had nothing to do with my blog post and so was an abuse of the comment facility on my blog and b) it was fuelling paranoia which is the opposite to what we should be doing which is building friendships with muslims (or anyone else from other people groups)
anyway richard has a reflection on the urban myths surrounding the olympic mega mosque and all that which seems to be responding to the same kind of issue…
[update: i have now deleted the comment – on reflection it is just spam!]
