words fail me

Believe
over the next two weeks (time permitting) i intend to blog about books. i have read or been sent loads of books this year and haven’t got round to talking about too many of them so this is my attempt to catch up…

first up words fail me by teresa monachino is a delightful little book – it will take about 10 minutes to read but is the kind of book you keep looking at. it is a collection of quirky things in the english language beautifully and playfully laid out. did you know for example that sesquipedalian means the overuse of long words? it would make a nice gift…

    have had nothing much to say of late . . . . but your plan to blog about the books you have read will have me coming back.
    you may be interested to know that i recieved communications from various folks around the world about the interview re: the non-church movement. i have noted that while emerging church enthusiasts were gracious and welcoming of my views, conservatives and fundamentalists were for the most part hostile and critical.
