As a fan of Christian mysticism I believe that the Scriptures or Writings can be read from such a perspective. I’ve been able to read multilayered translations from the Aramaic New Testament which bring a sense of freedom, richness and mystery that our traditional English translations don’t. If we’re not tapping into the original sayings of Yeshua then we’re barking up the wrong devotional tree.
