i enjoyed reading is a river alive? by robert macfarlane on holiday. in it he goes on three extraordinary trips to visit three rivers. i love the aliveness of creation and think rivers, trees and so on are creaturely. there’s lots of research to show that with trees so it was good to ponder with rivers. i enjoyed particularly his engagement with indigenous worldviews and wisdom in contrast to western worldivews which seem so lacking in this regard. anyway all that to say i think that was in my mind taking these photos of a waterfall at pont d’espagne in the hautes pyrenees. i have shared photos of water before. here’s three different takes i guess…
