we had a wonderful weekend in bath visiting friends, enjoying the city, visiting bath arts fringe, and joining oasis bath as part of the fringe dweller tour. doing something creative is always fun and it’s also work so most of my spare creative energy has gone into fringe dweller over the last year or two. it means photography has taken a back seat.

so it was nice to take a few simple photos of a paddle along the river avon on our paddleboards. if anyone wants to repeat the trip (i know i always appreciate discovering these things from others) we got in at weston lock, headed down the weston cut (a short piece of what looks more like a canal) and out onto the river towards the city centre. you can park for free on the road by weston lock. from there you can go all the way into pulteney weir which is spectacular way to see both it and bath, especially if it is a calm sunny day. to top it all off we had parked by an industrial estate that had a sign out saying electric bear taproom was open so headed in for a glorious pint in the sunshine.

loved the slogan – brewed on the edge of bath – felt like we were engaged in another kind of fringe dwelling!

sunday morning was fun taking part in sofa sunday at oasis bath to have a conversation about fringe dweller with jo and explore one of the reflections with the church. a lovely surprise was meeting some people there who we knew from 30-40 years ago!!!
