for christmas i was given a voucher for two workshops at bread ahead bakery school. nearly ten years ago i did one there to make sourdough which i have made ever since.

this time round i picked dougnuts becuase bread ahead doughnuts are absolutely wonderful and i have never made a doughnut. we made 6 – jam and vanilla custard filling.

the same dough is used to make brioche which turned out pretty well too. family expectations are now high next time we get together…
