on flickr you can look at details of photos (called exif data) which tells you things like exposure, focal length etc. some photos that i really liked the look of really confused me because they seemed to have an exposure of say 2 minutes in daylight. i couldn't figure out how they did that. but it dawned on me that they were clearly using some sort of trickery – a fliter that blocks out lots of light. anyway to cut a long story short i got myself one of these filters taht is so dark you can hardly see through it and this is a first attempt at using it. i realise there are too many highlights blown out but i sort of like how that loses the horizon in it. weird eh?!
