gra[ce]ss labyrinth 09

gra[ce]ss labyrinth 09, originally uploaded by jonnybaker.

the last few years we have mown a labyrinth in the grass outside st mary's church in ealing. this year it took joel and i only an hour – we must be getting more confident! instructions here if you want to mow your own… saturday night grace was walking this labyrinth with a cafe set up outside under the trees – it was wonderful. if you are nearby it will be there for a month or so. the banner to the far right of the photo has a bit of blurb about walking it and about labyrinths. an ideal way to slow down and reflect in the midst of the busyness called london…

OK so you’re in London. Wow. I am in San Diego. I had no idea what you were talking about till I clicked on your link and read this. Sounds like a great experience. Something different to do, at least way different than anything in Southern California. Blessings, Mel

Looks great- the labyrinth in my back garden is just about grown out now, i’ve used it a few times for personal prayer and with our house group…
Thinking i’m going to use the Millenial labyrinth shape on the beach next week, it can be used by more people at the same time. if you’ve any tips on marking that one out without using the grid of strings and tape i’d be happy to hear them- thinking of using a yard brush to make the path and marking the boundaries with drift wood and stones…

sure thing, will take some and post them on my blog…
i’ve adapted some of the text that was used for the millenium labyrinth (a few of the stations and text referencing to them just don’t work outdoors!)… hope thats not a problem. i’ll be upfront about where its come from, so any blame/ credit will be shared!
have a good weekend in New Yoik
