london by night

FON looks like a good idea from BT – free nationwide wi-fi or is this too good to be true?…

and i am listening to radiohead’s new album which is free or costs something (you decide)… it’s absolutely beautiful btw so get hold of it either way!

The Radiohead album album clearly isn’t free… for a start, there’s an admin fee of 45p – a not inconsiderable sum on a million + downloads – and then there’s the injunction that you pay what it’s worth. Assuming it’s worth the time to download, I’m guessing that it has some monetary value to you too…
Apparently, the average price people are paying is about £4, which is heartening. :o)

The Radiohead album *is* free. Put in £0.00 for your price and you skip the credit card registration, etc. At least that way you can download it first, then later pay what you really think it’s worth.
(Now that would have been the brave way for them to distribute it: put the request for money on the page after the download.)

I felt a couple of quid for an excellent album was money well spent. Thanks for the heads up!
