worship trick 36 – liturgy for dedication of a child

    This was a breath of fresh air, a great contrast to our (Anglican) baptism service which is terribly undermined by religious jargon which coagulates into meaninglessness. I do about 30 a year and it’s a terrible shame they have to be so haughty.
    I’m wondering if I did something along these lines I might put just a little bit more God into the Godparents’ commitment; but the simple thing is, looking at this, I’m inspired to have a go and create something along these lines. Good one.

    That was excellent, and I have taken the gross liberty of borrowing some of the text for dedication prayers we’ll be doing for friends’ child tomorrow.
