congrats to ian who was ordained deacon in the church of england today. he is to be at st matthews westminster and moot (which is based there). i guess he is one of the first to be ordained in the diocese of london specifically for a ‘fresh expression of church’ (however moot is fundraising separately so the question i keep asking about whether the church is going to invest as well as give permission is still unanswered…)

there were some very touching speeches at the party after the service which showed just how much ian is appreciated.
