jamie hoskins is another blog i’ve discovered via typepad links and he links to buynothingchristmas.org. i have kids so whilst i appreciate the sentiment, it may be a step too far!!!! but having said that it’s a cool idea and something at least that should provoke us as we get into the christmas frenzy… there are ideas for alternatives, three study guides you can download and reactions/stories etc.
anyway you may just want to connect with it/use some posters or whatever, but there’s a flash animation remember me which i am adding as a worship trick…

I know what you mean. IT’s a tough one. My wife and I (no kids yet) are still having a hard time with it. I think our focus this year is going to be more on being responsible rather than “buying NOTHING”. We’re still doing presents, just not to the point of insanity. I’m only buying for my wife, and my parents. My wife is buying for me and her parents. That’s it. For all the rest of our friends we are throwing a meal at our house that they are all invited to. I think my wife made chocolates to give away as well. That’s it… just trying to get the focus back on what really matters.
