out of a few conversations at london zoo si johnston is sparking a few london groups to do something together in mission. and people trafficking/slavery is the issue. if you want to know more visit Protest4 and there is a weekend (29-31 oct) to start to get thinking and active with input from phil lane (an international expert on people trafficking); kester brewin (author of ‘the complex christ’) and andrew jones (aka tallskinnykiwi); a film and presentation from gareth higgins (author of ‘how movies helped save my soul’); music from foy vance; and worship with people from london zoo. the weekend will kick off at the church.co.uk centre at 7:00 pm on Friday the 29th.
CMS was started by a small group, the clapham sect, who among other things campaigned to abolish slavery… so when a few people get together on an isuue who knows what can happen?! sadly i’m away that weekend but will catch up on the action i’m sure….
