there is a fresh expressions research conference/gathering in durham the weekend after next. steve taylor is over from down under for that and is doing a couple of other things while here, one of which is staying in durham after the gathering for a conversation around mission in a changing culture – details below…
Steve Taylor, author of 'The Out of Bounds Church? Learning to Create a Community of Faith in a Culture of Change' is in Britain for a few days.
Steve has been a Baptist pastor in New Zealand, leading an established church through change and also a church planter. He is currently the Director of Missiology at Uniting College, Adelaide in Australia. He also blogs.
St John's Durham and the Darlington District of the Methodist Church are going to host a conversation with him from 3pm on Saturday 18th September, at St John's College, Durham in the Tristram Room – "Dry bones live! Mission and leadership in times of change"?' It will be intensely practical, stimulating and inspiring to anyone interested in mission in a changing culture. We hope you will be able to join us for this rare opportunity to talk with an influential voice in mission thinking and acting.
