the henry moore exhibition at kew gardens is stunning. it’s there until the spring so you have plenty of time to visit. 28 sculptures are placed around the gardens. it is a fabulous setting for them. the context changes the look and feel of them. the sculptures are huge, very pleasing curves and shapes inspired by natural forms, often with holes or negative space breaking up the view.
kew have got on board creatively to encourage photographers to interact with the exhibition using flickr. there is a moor at kew group you can add photos to. tag your photos with mooreatkew and the latest appear on the kew web site and each week kew select th 10 best pictures as a showcase. this is imaginative engagement with new technologies from an old public institution – hopefully others will learn from their lead… there were a lot of people out on sunday afternoon when we were there as it was a gorgeous day so it was actually quite hard to get in photograph without kids climbing on the sculptures and so on. if it snows at some point i may go back for a different view…
i’ve added a few pics to my flickr pages…

That looks like it is worth visiting. Being an East Londoner I don’t venture out that way as much as I should. Kew is such a beautiful and relxing place (apart from the many planes overhead!)
