All these dad references remind me of a quotation from John Peel when he was interviewed for Third Way: “The average teenager thinks their dad is a complete pillock.”

John Peel’s son has been quoted as saying that the only piece of advice his father ever gave him was, ‘Always have a poo before you have a shower.’
With guidance like that, how could any teenager describe their beloved father in anything less than glowing terms.
