I was delighted to see the other day that you were working on ‘a christian spirituality that connects with everyday life’. That’s what I’m working on too; I’d just want to encourage less detachment from, and very close inspection of the seemingly ‘routine’, mundane, for, (as Peter Barret wrote in my blog yesterday, “As we scratch beneath the make-up / Of our raw lives, / Tenderness and compassion / Are available / If we look hard enough / Into the magic and mystery / Of the routine and humdrum.”
