this is my second attempt at photography on a long exposure with a tripod (first one here). i think the shot was about 15 seconds… i love how it came out. my mum lives down in eastbourne so i was visiting for a few days with joel and harry. the joke about eastbourne (which is close to the truth) is that it’s where you go to retire. the seafront is populated with old people during the day. anyway this photo makes eastbourne pier seem magical as it sparkles in the night and the old people are tucked up in bed. the reality was that the beach was full of visiting students from spain and france so i had to wait to get a clear shot.
a question for blog readers. since getting more into taking pictures and my < a href="http://www.flickr.com">flickr obsession i am adding more larger photos to the blog. i realise i have broadband so downloading them is not a problem for me. but i imagine if you are on dial up it might be annoying. if you want to voice an opinion about it leave a comment. big pictures ok or is it slowng you down?
Big picture is fine from here.
I’m both. Dial up at home where I read the most, so it can be annoying. But broadband at work.
Picture fine. My memory of the joke is that Eastbourne is the place people go to die and then forget why they went.
I’m on broadband, so fine by me.
That’s pretty cool, i like it a lot.
