there is a day in birmingham hosted by the team that developed and maintain www.emergingchurch.info – it is a day to do three things:
a) reflect on how the site has gone so far,
b)meet with contributors and users of the site and
c) to dream how it might develop in the future.

it will be a small gathering of about 40 people. as part of the day we will experience worship and hear stories from some emerging church groups in birmingham. see here for more details

in the site’s latest update i love the sound of church of the apostles easter party where:

we: pop corks (to tost the resurrection), feast to new life (with holy communion and high carb ‘fat things’), toss darts at the devil (to show hell has been crushed), baptize new apostles (to give light to the righteous), install art, jam to bands, kick back with djs and party

and i like geoff’s distilled hopes for the emerging church…
