have arrived in california after a very long day. the flight was eased by watching kill bill and the last of the samurai (how many killings did i see today?!). bob carlton kindly invited me over and i persuaded gareth to come along as well.it was great to meet bob today – another of those friendships developed over the interent and then you meet the person in the flesh. we had arranged to meet bob in the chapel service. there weren’t many there so i spent most of it trying to guess which one was bob as i didn’t know what he looked like… anyway about 30 seconds from the end of the service someone came in – sure enough it was bob!!!! seems to have sussed a good approach to evening prayer…
