this is blog trivia so if you are after deep spiritual reflection move on quick…. but over christmas and new year somehow we managed to squeeze in time to do some decorating. we’ve been in the house two and a half years and decorated pretty much everywhere apart from the downstairs loo/toilet. jen wanted to do something dramatic… so we’ve ended up with a deep pink called decadent!
the reaction from friends who have been round is that they love it or hate it… we’ve done some pippo lionni stencils on the walls which look fab. his books facts of life are brilliant. gareth suggested i put the bog on the blog for all the world to see so here it is in all its glory!
looks cool! will be sure to check it out next time I am round. maybe you should send the pic to the Tate Modern to see if they will let you guys be the interior designers when they next redo their toilets 😉
Maybe you should have put this post in for the gridblog: epiphany, I think it clearly has a divine prescence about it!
Mate, that dunny (or “bog” – kiwi colloquialism) is the stuff of legends!
hey mate i love the new look to your bog and i feel it would be a honner drop a log off in your bog blog! lol have fun
do i notice the influence of stencilling, and the hint that alt.worship indeed impacts ALL of life.
it’s no good blaming it on Gareth 🙂
I really don’t mind taking the blame – jonny mentioned it briefly over coffee and the title ‘blog on the bog’ was just to good to resist!
Having spent 5 weeks on bogs in the Indian sub continent, this is a welcome site…..
I did notice from the pic that the colour bears a resemblance to the book, “Alternative Worship”
What, did you have a few extra gallons laying around so you used em on the walls?
So Jonny, what does it say about your blog that the item to get the most comments is about your toilet?
that had occurred to me that it was a worrying sign!!!!! but thanks for pointing it out 🙂
woops, I hit post too quickly.
What I meant to say was,
Love the loo! Wish I’d thought of that.
Nice bog! You should have a service in there!
(like how many people can you fit in a mini?)
We’ve just done a painted ceiling in our hall, with vaulting and angels. The fun thing is noone notices unless you tell em to look up.
